Happy Merry!

YAY FOR CHIRSTMAS!!!
So, I don't think I've been this sad for Christmas to be over since I was a lil kid. It went by SOOO fast. It was a really awesome Christmas and all but I just wish it could have lasted longer!!! Well anyway, here's what we did.....
We got our Christmas Tree at Wise Buys again this year for $10 which is the best deal ever for the beautiful REAL tree we got!!! And the first Christmas surprise I got was the tree skirt my mom made us! It is the CUTEST tree skirt EVER!!! It was such a wonderful surprise and I LOVEEEEE IT! Thank you so much mom!
Christmas Eve was the Davis family Chistmas cuz we wanted Ell and family to be there since he had to work on Christmas Day so we celebrated early with the traditional breakfast (made by dad and was YUMMY as usual) and opening presents! Unfortunately Bob couldn't be there :( but he opened his presents on Christmas. Then I spent the afternoon with Ellen at lunch with some of her high school friends. Fun!! Bobby and I then headed up the hill to Grandma Shirley's for ham dinner and family gift exchange! It was awesome. We got Guesstures and awesome solar light yard decorator things! Christmas morning Bob and I opened presents together then went to the Green's for breakfast and more presents!!! We got New Super Mario Bros for the Wii!! WOO HOOO!!!! We then went to Jack-in-the-Box for lunch with my fam as per tradition and talked to EV on the phone!!! I miss him a lot so it was awesome to talk to him. Then we went back to the Greens for dinner and some games. We then swung by to see Ell, Kell, Ellie, Scot, Macie and Lucy! We had fun over there playing Simon Says and Charades. Then we went home, and Christmas was over, and I was a little sad... but now I'm looking forward to next year and I'm going to start Christmas the day after Halloween!!! haha just kidding, but I might... we'll see.

I am Thankful for my Family.

Thanksgiving was AWESOME! I got to go to Pismo Beach and be with my family!! The only bummer was that Bobby had to work and couldn't go :( And of course we missed Ev, but he's having a good time in Tennessee and we didn't forget about him!!! Ellen made a yummy Turkey Day dinner with delicious appetizers to start us off. The weather was GORGEOUS! My mom kept telling me it was going to be in the 70's and I kind of put it off as wishful thinking on her part, but it was TOTALLY WARM! (I should know by know that mom is always right) I loved playing with my nieces and nephew and spending time with my sisters and brothers (that includes the in-laws!) Luckily I made the trip there and back safely cuz...... just a week later the SAME car I drove to Pismo decided to die on Bobby, who usually drives the car... so now its in the shop getting fixed.... cars are so lame. But thank goodness we are fortunate enough to have 2 cars and thank goodness mom and dad let us borrow the Honda. So yeah, thanksgiving was pretty dang awesome.

Me, Macie, Scot and Andrew at the Park

Jameser at the Beach with the Booms! James loves the sand!!!

The fam holdin up a Howdy Y'all sign for EV!

My beautiful sisters who I miss like crazy!

Golf Balls

I'm not usually one to post blogs about random stuff, but I felt like it today.
For those of you who don't know Bobby really likes golf. He played on the team in high school and used to play quite a bit with his friends. He hasn't had much time in the last few years to golf much but when he can he hits the links. Anyways... I was cleaning out one of our many junk drawers the other night and I was amazed at the copious amount of golf balls Bobby has. And tees too. Golf balls roll around in his trunk of his car and under the seats. Not to mention the tons he has in his golf bag. IT'S CRAZY!!! Ha. Don't tell him but I've been throwing away the ones in the car lately, he has so many I don't think he'll notice. :D By the way this picture is just a small collection of our golf balls, think I should call the Guinness people?

All Kinds of goods!!

Ok! So this is a gigantic post.... Sorry. Ha.
Well the night before Halloweeny Bobby and I dressed up as Nerds for Katie, Jo, Kim and Justin's Ward Party. Bobby said quote "I'm gonna hate every minute of this" cuz his costume was pretty nerdy. The shirt is thanks to Ev. But he had a ton of fun!!! We all were quite the hit as the nerd herd. Katie got us the sweet glow-in-the-dark glasses at the dollar store.
Bobby and I are both taking vacation time this week and decided we need to venture on down the coast. On Monday morning we drove straight down to Santa Cruz's Mystery Spot. I drove the whoooooole way so Bobby could sit in the back and study (I know...I'm such a good wife). The Mystery Spot was really neat! But we decided it was a once in 10 years type of thing. From there we went straight to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We really enjoyed all the sea life and little exhibits. We saw an Albatross up close and personal and learned about these birds that are often mistaken for seagulls. We watched penguins be fed. We saw a young shark, learned about The Deep sea and the under water canyon that starts in the Monterey Bay. We watched a scuba diver go into the Kelp Forest tank and hand feed all the fish!!! It was super cool. Did I mention we saw a a shark....all Bobby could talk about was the Great White Shark, which was kind of a dud for me. They only keep young shark there and it was SMALL! ha. I guess you can't keep a huge shark in a lil aquarium. But all in all the aquarium was awesome! We ate Denny's for dinner cuz we wanted something classy... haha. It was across the street from our hotel. :D The next morning we packed up and drove to the 17 mile drive. Super pretty drive but really confusing. I was once again driving and got a little frustrated at the road. We got an ocean view to die for (sorry no pics, this is when I was "frustrated"). The houses on the road are AMAZING!!!! Literally castles. From there we went up to San Fran. We took a boat ride to Alcatraz. This was a really neat experience. I really can't describe it! I think you should all go there!! Its worth it!!! We had a nice time getting away and hope we go on another fun trip soon!!

Fall 09

I live for summer, and I'm super sad that its over. It definitely ended with a bang though! We celebrated 4 birthdays in one month just between Bobby, me and our friends Katie and Jo! Every weekend in September was a PARTY!!! But even though I'm sad to say adios to Summer 09, there are some really awesome things to do in the Fall. A couple of my favorite things are going to the Pumpkin Farm with my mom and carving pumpkins with friends. And to make it even more fun this year, Macie and Scot came with us to the Pumpkin Patch!!! It was so fun! My mom spoiled us and we got ice cream cones and sodas! Plus a train ride!!! Mom and I will probably try to squeeze in another Pumpkin Patch run... But I still can't wait for next summer to be here... :D

Lake Tahezzzie!

This weekend Bobby and I went camping together for the 1st time since we've been married. I know what you're thinking, haven't Liz and Bobby been married for like 2 years? YES! Yet we've never been camping together! Ha. We actually don't even own one piece of camping equipment. We are lucky enough to have a well equipped family though! (Thanks Green's, Ensign's and Mortimer's.) I'm also a little bit retarded and forgot our camera so I have no actual proof of the event, but again thanks to The Green's and Ensign's we may some day see some pictures of us camping. We went to Sugar Pine in the Northish area of Lake Tahoe, it was a super fun weekend! We were all a little worried about bears but never actually saw one or heard one and are now convinced they don't exist. Our campsite was awesome, only a short walk to the bathroom, had creek access and was right next to the trail. So we went and attempted to fish in the creek, hiked around a little bit and of course swam in the lake. Bobby and I slept on a twin size air mattress for two nights which was actually not as awful as it sounds. (it was either that or the ground...) We ate yummy food and got some good family time in. We had a great time and decided we are going to go buy our own camping gear and go again soon!

Summer 009

Posted by Picasa

OH my Goodness! I've been meaning to blog all this stuff for a while now, and decided I needed to learn how to make collage things so I could just post it all at once! I'm semi-computer retarded and it took me forever to figure it out but I did! YAY! So this is our summer....
#1 most awesome thing this summer was Bobby graduating from Sac State with a degree in Business Accounting! I am SO proud of him, he has worked sooooo hard for that last couple years and he is finally done!!! WOOOHOOO. (Sorry no pics of that, he was not into the whole graduation spirit.) Bobby has been seriously working on his dance moves since graduation, no joke, he learns stuff from his 18 year old friend at work. Haha. My best friend Kimberly got married in April! It was an amazing day and we are so happy for Kimberly and Justin! Bobby's sister Kerry got married over Memorial Day weekend in Tahoe, it was also a really awesome wedding with BEAUTIFUL weather! My sister Emily and her kiddos came to visit, which is always a ton of fun! Kim, Justin and I went and saw Keith Urban in concert. He is a really great performer! We've spent a lot of time hanging out with our friends Kim, Justin, Katie and Jo. Playing games, watching movies, eating frozen yogurt and just hangin' out. We've gone to Folsom Lake a couple times on some hot days, we boated there once also.
We snorkeled at Upper Lake Clementine with Kim and Justin and also this last weekend with The Green's and Ensign's. We also floated down the Truckee River by Tahoe. That was an adventure! And we jumped into Lake Tahoe for a REALLY quick dip, that water is cold! We've gone to a couple other weddings too. My really good friend Andrew came home from his mission this last week. It was so nice to talk to him about his experiences in Chile. I was so happy to see him! We celebrated Justin's 30th birthday by going to dinner at Claim Jumper on Friday! We've been pretty busy but its been a really fun summer! And we aren't even done yet... ha.

Flower Pickin'

On Friday night we hung out with our friends Kim, Justin, Katie and Jo which is pretty routine and normal for a Friday night. But after just sitting around chatting for a few hours we decided at about midnight that we wanted to walk up the street from their apartments to a strip mall and pick some of their flowers. It was so silly and fun. The boys threw around a football(in the dark..) and scootered around while Katie, Kim and I wandered around looking for pretty flowers to put in vases (in the dark...). Kim was freaking out that there would be bugs and I just laughed. haha. (Kim had ants in her kitchen the next morning). So these are just a few random pictures of us...

Bobby and I, of course Bobby is making a weird face...
The girls ready for some flower pickin action!
Going to town on those flowers
All the flowers we scored. With Justin being silly.

My wilting flowers, I left them in the bag all night. :( ha

Snail Hunting.

When it rained a week or so ago Bobby noticed there were a ton of snails in our yard. And we hate snails. Ha. So he decided to snail hunt. He grabbed this box and went to town on our front and backyards. I stood inside an watched. But there were SO many! The pictures don't even do it justice! Last year we used a whole thing of Morton's salt to kill but this was a little more exciting for Bobby(and more frugal ha). He threw them away when he was done. Snails suck man. I'm so glad I have such a goofy husband who does these things! He was really into it too! Haha! Gotta love Bob!

Just about the final batch. ha.

Check out the socks with the flops, that's gettin' down to his Utah roots...

The Moustache.

So, this could possibly be the weirdest thing Bobby has ever done; he grew a moustache. He actually shaved it off about two weeks ago(thank goodness) and I'm just now getting around to blogging about it... haha. He isn't allowed to have facial hair at work with the exception of a moustache. Which totally cracks me up. Which I suppose helped in his decision to grow one. It started out as a beard on his week off, then he shaved the beard and grew his lovely red moustache for a month-ish. Just about everyone teased him about it. And his sister Kelly saw this HILARIOUS shirt and TJ Maxx and told us we had to go buy it and we did. Ha. Thankfully these pictures are right before he shaved the red caterpillar off. Haha. I love Bobby so much, he certainly can make me laugh, and I did laugh at him just about every day. He was sort of disappointed in his end result though. He wanted it to be bushy, and when he see's men with nice bushy full moustaches he will throw a compliment their way, he is so SILLY! Ha.

Baby James!

Mom and I flew to Las Vegas to help Emily with the kids and stuff since she just had a baby! BABY JAMES! It was so fun to help out and play with the kiddos and hold the new baby. We had a picnic and did some shopping and just hung out together. I got a small taste(very small) of motherhood and I loved it, but don't expect me to be poppin' any kids out any time soon... I promised Ev I wouldn't have any until he got home! So just another couple years. Ha. I already miss all the Durham's and can't wait to see them again soon!

Valentine's Day

We really never "celebrate" Valentine's Day because, well, it's not really a holiday. Haha. But this year we "celebrated" by having our good friends Kim, Justin, Katie and Jo over! We ate a super yummy spaghetti dinner with, garlic bread and salad. We drank Martinelli's and had really good cake (made by Kim) for dessert! We played all kinds of silly games and just hung out. It was a super fun Valentine's Day, filled with lots o' love!

Bobby and Jo got a little crazy wrestling...

I made everyone take pictures. Haha, this is the most normal one...

This was my goofy idea to all mix up, we look so funny with the wrong persons. HAHA!

This is us all smooching!

Evan's Birthday Weekend!

On January 17, Evan, my baby brother turned 19! It was an absolutely fabulous weekend! Not only were we celebrating his birthday, but he also went through the Temple for the first time and give his "farewell" talk! Emily, Matt, Sarah and Andrew as well as Grandma Davis were here to join in on all the fun! Of course Elliot, Kelly, Ellie, Scot and Macie were there too. It was so much fun to be surrounded by family for an entire weekend! I am so proud of Evan, he is one of my best friends and I couldn't be happier with the decision he has made to serve a mission! He is the best younger brother! (We missed you Ellen)

The kids call Bobby their "Silly Uncle". Haha!!

Macie after the birthday cake... haha. She is so adorable!

Christmas Time! (2008)

Welp, Christmas has come and gone AGAIN! It was a ton of fun and we enjoyed the time we spent with our families. We had dinner Christmas Eve at Grandma Shirley's and then read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at the Davis'. We spent Christmas morning with the Davis family which included gifts and a delicious breakfast made by Dad(or Big Wayne as Bobby likes to call him.) Then we headed over to the Green's, which is literally around the corner. We did our annual family gift exchange game, played Guitar Hero World Tour and this fun game called Blockus. We ate French Dip for dinner, which was absolutely delicious!

The morning after Christmas, we packed up our Jeep and headed off to Utah to visit Bobby's grandparents and aunts and uncles. We caravaned with Bobby's parents, his brother Bill and his family and his sister Kelly and her family. We were quite the caravan, it was 3 white Jeeps and a white Minivan! We made our first stop in Reno, NV at Cabela's after quite the excursion through the Sierra's. We arrived safely in Utah and had a great time playing in the snow and enjoying time with extended family that we don't get to see very often. It was a ton of fun but we swore we-d never return to Utah in the winter again! But promised Grandma Green we'd come back in the summer time. We also went to Cabela's in Lehi, UT, which was way bigger and better than Reno. That store is so fun just to walk around in! It's like a free museum!
